How do I retrieve a deleted Sent Items folder?

  1. Click “File > New > Folder
  2. Click in the circle next to “Find Results Folder
  3. Click next to “Predefined find results folder
  4. Highlight “All Sent Items” and click “Next
  5. Decide where you would like to place the folder. The default location is the filing cabinet. To move Sent Items beneath your Mailbox, click the button marked “Left”, then click the “Up” button until the folder moves to the desired location
  6. Click Finish

How do I delete multiple items at one time?

  1. Click the first item in the list to highlight it.
  2. Hold down the Shift key on the keyboard, then click on the last item in the list.
  3. The entire section will then be highlighted. Press the delete key to send the items to the trash.

How do I give proxy rights/access to someone?

Proxy access may only be done from your desktop, or web access. This is a 2-part process where first, access must be granted, then the second person must accept it.

To grant Proxy access your desktop in GroupWise :

  1. Click on:
    Tools > Options > Security > Proxy Access tab
  2. In the “Name” field, type in the name of the person to whom you’d like to give access.
  3. Click the “Add User” button.
  4. In the Access List -- click once on the person’s name
  5. Under Access Rights -- click the appropriate boxes.
  6. Return to the Access list and click “All User Access”.
  7. Make sure that no Access Rights are checked when this is highlighted.
  8. Click OK.

Next, the other person must accept Proxy access. The receiver will follow these steps:

  1. In GroupWise, click the link above the mailbox labeled “Online
  2. Click “Proxy”.
  3. In the “Name” box, type in the name of the person or the account to which access rights have been given.
  4. Click OK.
  5. The name on the GroupWise account will change to the person’s who has given you access rights.
  6. Click on the “Proxy” link and choose your own name to get back to your own account.

How do I create an Out-of-Office (vacation) rule?

  1. Click Tools > Rules
  2. Click New
  3. In the Rule Name field, type Out of office.
  4. In the “When Event Is” area, verify that New Item is displayed and that Received is checked
  5. In the Item Types list, check Mail, Appointment, Task, Reminder Note, and Phone Message.
  6. In the “Then Actions Are” area, click on Add Action
  7. Choose Reply and click OK
  8. In the message field, type “I will be out of the office until…(or whatever you would like your message to say)
  9. Click OK.
  10. Click Save.
  11. Verify that the Out of office Rule is checked.
  12. For the rule to affect only the mail you receive from that point forward, click Close. On the other hand, if you want the rule to apply to mail already in your mailbox, click Run.
    Note: Have a friend or co-worker send you a test message because sending one to yourself creates a loop. Remember to uncheck the rule when you return to the office!

How do I share a folder?

  1. Right click on the folder you wish to share
  2. Click the Sharing button.
  3. Click the button for “Shared
  4. Enter the name of a person you want to share the folder.
  5. Click Add User, and the name will appear in the Share list. (You can change access rights with the check boxes below the Share list.)
  6. Repeat this process until you have added everyone who will share the folder.
  7. The Shared Folder Notification will appear, showing the names of the people who will be notified that you are sharing a folder with them. Enter a brief message to the recipients regarding the folder.
  8. Click OK.
  9. When the recipients receive the Shared Folder Notification message, they will open it, and then position the folder in their folder list.

How do I access campus bulletins?

Campus Bulletins is a folder the GroupWise administrators have shared with the campus community. If you have accidentally deleted the folder, please send an email to Service@kennesaw.edu and we will share the folder with you again.
