System Requirements
Microsoft Windows 2000 or Microsoft Windows XP.
Browser Requirements
To successfully scan endpoint computers using ICS, the endpoint computers must
meet the following requirements.
- The endpoint computer must be running one of the following web browsers:
- Internet Explorer 5.01 or later
- Mozilla 1.5, 1.6. or 1.7 (Requires Integrity Secure Browser)
- Opera 5.x, 6.x, or 7.x (Requires Integrity Secure Browser)
- The web browser security level must be set to Medium and its Privacy level
must be set to Medium-High.
If you need to configure browser settings individually, use the following
settings:
- In the Security tab:
- Enable “download signed ActiveX.”
- Enable “run ActiveX controls."
- Enable “script ActiveX controls marked safe for scripting.”
- Enable “Active Scripting.”
- In the Privacy tab:
- Select Override Cookie Handling, then choose “Accept” for First Party
Cookies.
Note: When a user tries to access network without the proper browser or
settings, an error message is displayed detailing the browser requirements as
described above.
Integrity Secure Browser
The Integrity Secure Browser protects the data users receive and
send online from being viewed or collected by others. The Integrity Secure
Browser also protects any Web data that is automatically stored on an endpoint
computer. After the user closes the Integrity Secure Browser, the Web data on the
endpoint computer is deleted.
Integrity Secure Browser Requirements
The Integrity Secure Browser requires the following conditions on the end user’s
machine:
- One of the following browsers:
- Internet Explorer 5.01 or later
- Mozilla
- Firefox
- Opera
- Netscape
- Microsoft Windows 2000 or Microsoft Windows XP
- The power user right for the user (If the user does not have the power user
right, he or she must install the browser manually.)
Note: Users that are not using Internet Explorer or do not have the power user
right will be prompted to save and run the Integrity Secure Browser.
