Instructions for Windows XP SP2 Users
- Click Start then select Control Panel:
- If the Control Panel is in the category View, select Network and Internet connections, select Network Connections
- If the Control Panel is in the Classic View, select Network Connections
- Right-click Wireless Network Connection, select Properties.

- On the General Tab, in the “This connection uses the following items:”list, select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) then click Properties.

- Select the Obtain an IP address automatically and the Obtain DNS server address automatically options, then click OK to save changes and close the Window.
- Select the
Wireless Networks tab, verify that the Box labeled “Use Windows to configure my wireless network settings” is checked, and then click the Add button.

- On the following window under Association tab, uncheck the checkbox for "The key is provided to me automatically, and enter the information as below:
- In the Network name (SSID) field, type KSUwireless
- In the Network Authentication drop-down menu, select WPA-PSK
- In the Data encryption drop-down menu, select TKIP
- In the Network Key field, type kennesaw
- In the Confirm Network Key field, re-type kennesaw
- Click OK to save changes and close window
Your window should the look like this:

- In the Wireless Network Connection Properties window, click OK to save changes and close the window.
- In the
Network Connections window, right-click Wireless Network Connection, select View Available Wireless Networks.

- If you are not connected to the KSUwireless network, select KSUwireless and click on Connect
- Click on Connect.
- Wait until the KSUwirless changes from acquiring network address to connected.
- Open a Web Browser, security alert window will pop-up – click Yes
- Enter you NetID & Password.
- Click Log In.
