Importing and Exporting Learning Modules from Vista to Vista

1. Log onto the course you want to move the module from
2. Make sure you are in Build and Basic View tabs
Click on Learning Modules (on the left)
Click on the small link on the bottom that says “go to Learning Modules” in the gray box on the left
Select all the Learning Modules you want to export; select “export.” Follow the naming prompts (and remember what you named it for later!)
In the gray choose folder window that appears, click choose current folder
Two windows should appear; make sure the second one says the export is complete, then click “return
Click on File Manager button at the top right of your screen
Find the file you have created. It will have a .zip extension.  Check its box and click the “download” button at the bottom of the list of files. You want to save to disk.
Log into the course into which you want to move the LM’s; check to be sure you are in the Build tab
Click the “Content Import” button on the top right
Select “Upload File”  You will need to browse for it using the My Computer icon.  (Usually I have found it on my desktop, but if you can’t find it quickly, do a search.)
  Click Learning Modules
  Select the file you want
Click Add Selected.  It should appear in your course.

NOTE:
You can select multiple LM’s in #5 and they will import just fine into the new course.
