Checking and Changing Java in Internet Explorer

Java Runtime Environment Plug-in 1.5.0_06 may cause applets to freeze and lock your browser. WebCT is currently researching the issue. The suggested workaround is to uninstall this version and revert back to version 1.5.0_05

Installing Java plug-in:

1. Click on the Start button on your computer desktop
2. Click on Control Panel
3. Click on Add Remove Programs
4. In the list that comes up look for anything that says Java Runtime Environment
5. You want to delete/remove any version other than Java Runtime 2v 1.5_05

1. When you get to the page above, choose the Download J2SE Runtime Environment link.
2.
In the next screen you must click the accept button and then you will need to click on Windows Offline Installation, Multi-language. This will download the installer onto your computer
3. Once you have downloaded (saved) the installer, double click on it and the program will walk you through the installation steps.

NOTE:
Depending upon your connection speed, this should only take a few minutes.
