| Another exciting service offered from your Atlas account is web publishing. To accomplish this, you need only follow a few steps, beginning with logging into your account. First you must secure shell (ssh) into your Atlas account, then proceed to "set up" your account. This will activate web access, allowing you the ability to upload files (web pages) to the server. Next you have to develop the page that you want to be seen. And finally, you will need to place the file(s) in your Atlas account by uploading/publishing the page(s) to your "html" directory in your home account. This will ensure that they will be seen by the world. Instructions on publishing pages using SSH can be found here
If you should decide that you want to get more involved in the technical side of web page creation, KSU can provide space in the CGI Bin for you to place your scripts. Find out more on how to get space in the CGI Bin and how to write scripts.
*NOTE: The content of these pages must be contained in each user's home directory, comply with current disk quota restrictions and conform to the Kennesaw State University's Telecommunications Policies and WWW Guidelines.
Disk Space
It is important to note that you have 25MB of disk space on your account. The number of saved messages you have, files you download, and any web pages you have published take up this space. When creating your web pages, remember that photographs are space hogs and will eat up your Atlas quota rather quickly.
